Premium airtime during the Super Bowl

 

America’s Super Bowl is approaching fast; February 4th is the day.

 

Airtime during the Super Bowl is prime advertising spot. According to Nielsen, 111.3 million people watched the Super Bowl game on FOX last year. This is not even counting the viewers streaming online.

 

According to Variety, last year Fox Sports were asking advertisers more than $5 million for a 30 second advert.

 

The Verge published a list of the seven best and three of the worst 2017 Super Bowl adverts. The best adverts include: Skittles, Hyundai, Budweiser, The Critic, Kia, Ford and Alfa. The worst include: Honda, Mr Clean and Yellow Tail. Click the link above to see the reasons why.

 

With the premium cost, you would want to get the advert right.

 

According to AdWeek’s feature, Amazon’s Super Bowl advert is ‘destined to be one of Sunday’s favourites’. The advert will air in the four quarter of the Super Bowl.

 

Amazon have released a teaser trailer of their Super Bowl advert. In the advert, Alexa has lost her voice and has been hacked by celebrities creating humorous scenes. For example, when a 32-year-old man asks Alexa how to make a grilled cheese sandwich, Gordon Ramsey replies back ‘Pathetic. You are 32 years of age and you don’t know how to make a grilled cheese sandwich. Its name is the recipe, you dumb s***’.

 

Other celebrities that make an appearance include Cardi B, Rebel Wilson and Sir Anthony Hopkins. Even Jeff Bezos makes an appearance.
